Stone Walkway / Walkway and Paths

The difference between Walkways and Paths
Typically, there is a difference in the types of materials used to build paths and walkways. Walkways are usually more stable surfaces, using materials such as paving stone and interlocking blocks. Pathways however more commonly use natural materials, like loose gravel or mulch, to create a softer look. These design choices are dependent on the style you want. Using stone
A stone walkway is very versatile. It can be installed to have a rustic charm, ideal for a natural landscaping plan or cottage garden style design. It can also be equally suitable to create a modern and chic feel. Stone is incredibly durable and long-lasting. Interlocking paving
Another option is to use interlocking paving. This creates a stunning design and can again come in a variety of colors and materials. Keeping to the theme of using natural substances, our particular favorites are brick and blocks. This style of hardscape will facilitate your walkway and paths to be as strong and long-lasting as possible. They also (as with a stone walkway) ensure water run-off, dealing with any issues of drainage problems by allowing water to permeate through the gaps down to the ground soil. Not using concrete is the key component to this benefit.
